It's the Chinese New Year, year of the boar. So I celebrated with some sumi ink sketching!

Ok, he's a red river hog and not a boar, but close enough!

So happy we have to dance!

And dance and dance and dance!

And a binturong, for Mbala. :)I love sumi ink. I really need to play with it more! I usually don't work so freely and not sketch things before finishing them, so this is a really great challenge for me. I think I'll try to do a bunch of 30 second figure drawing sketches this way for practice.
I ran a pageview contest on FurAffinity and actually ended up with 4 winners, so crazy! So I've got a few more badges to work on when I wrap up the last two I'm working on from F.C. I am exploding with art I want to make.
It is sad when you live in a town where the closest thing you can get to chicken tempura is McDonalds chicken nuggets. If you close your eyes and pretend, they are almost the same. :P There is one Japanese restaurant in Rochester, but it's so-so, and it was actually booked solid tonight. We may go tommorrow to celebrate.
I love Mbala. Living with him is really a joy. He has such a great sense of humor, he makes me laugh so much. My face doesn't hurt at all anymore when I'm smiling all day. Isn't that crazy? ;)
