Camel and leaves

Keeping the animals amused. Especially ones that don't have friends to rub shoulders with.

What's he got in his bucketessesss? )
The olympic torch relay dropped into town on Sunday. At first I was surprised and pleased to be on the cross-country circuit -- 'round noon Sunday? I thought I'd go see. Then I found out that they're driving the thing from town to town, getting out, jogging a few blocks and then getting back into the car. I am not amused. What ever happened to running all the way? They might as well not even bother.

I worked overtime on Friday. Friday is the day the schedule of all the "senior" workers overlaps, but one of my co-workers took the afternoon off and the other called in sick. I was to finish at 3:30 but instead not only did stay on until 5, I took the place of the sick worker and stayed until 6:50 so I could stand in a room with an alpaca on a leash and do the alpaca gig.

On Saturday the co-worker was still sick, so the phone rang at 6:30 am and back to work I went.

Today I bought 8 cords of firewood to keep me warm all winter. I have a union meet this evening so I guess I'll stay home today and read some more Diskworld (Thief of Time). The laz-y-boy armchair I rescued from the ditch is making me sneeze. I guess I should get a steam-cleaning vacuum cleaner (on sale at Zeller's) and clean it.

Tamagotchi ID first hands on review :D

  • Dec. 8th, 2009 at 12:22 PM
I plan on posting as it grows to see what sort of new things I find out about the new tamagotchi ID. The cool part about these is that most everything is new which makes this all around really fun. So hopefully these won't bore most people, so I will try to post photos with the small reviews that I do.

I got the tamagotchi ID yesterday. These were just released in Japan last month on the 23rd of 2009. I liked the tamagotchi color that was released previous (in japan only) but the shape and some of what it offered lacked a bit compared to the black and white versions of tamagotchi. So I went on ebay few days before they were out in stores and got a green tamagotchi ID. Here is the egg stage right when you put the batteries in.

Tamagotchi ID

This lasts for about a minute then the critter hatches and calls out your name. I am never really feeling creative with Japanese names so I just pick my generic "A" as I do in all my JP tamas.

Tamagotchi ID

A few things changed in this tamagotchi. If you are not a follower of the japanese ones you can see they come in color well they have been in color since tamagotchi color. Here in the US we have not gotten any of these yet, and I very much doubt we ever will. I will say a lot of the writing inside the tamagotchi is in english which makes me wonder if they will release them in Europe later on (not sure at all on that one).

As for size this one is fatter than your usual black and white one that we get here. The shell is rounded so it makes it easier to grab unlike the tamagotchi color which felt terrible in your hand. The screen is bright and pushed in a bit. Makes it easier for me not to get it all scratched up like I did with my color version tama.

This tama comes with so much stuff. I know you can connect via cellphone to download more stuff but not sure how to do so just yet as it seems the website is down. The website may also be region locked but will have to talk to a few of my connections over there to see if this is true. Has new icons, new places, new stores, you can wear costumes (yes even kigurumis which rocks) and the list continues.

If you are a fan of virtual pets I would totally suggest one of these :D. More about this with video later on :D.

Come see how much our dog sucks :P

So thousands of GSDs (yea Dire, take that!) valiantly serve as police, emergency and rescue dogs.

Then there's Chaos.

As posted by my baby's daddy, yesterday we came home to find our dog in quite the predicament (sorry about the lighting - the setup: doorway, recycling bin he tried to raid [and ironically did not even get open], dog).

We are so proud :P

Sigismund, the monastery donkey.
Please, I need help!!! I couldn't resist: I started drawing on the first piece of paper available and I found out I couldn't draw anything coherent at all! My hand got blocked, probably because I haven't drawn anything during the latest eight months; that's terrible ... I feel so useless, so stupid.

Please, do you have any suggestion? I need to draw, but I'm so out-of-shape and I feel unable to draw what I want.
Please, gimme a character, a pose, a style ... something you consider useful for a quick visual training.

I'll draw whatever you want!!!

For the past two weeks I've had a stand-in history professor for my history class. He's not nearly as good as the original professor, who I'd taken previously and looked forward to taking again. We were told our professor left on sick-leave.

Today, I found out that my old professor took his own life sometime over the weekend. Apparently, he was seriously depressed and having a major breakdown. The professor who has replaced him showed up to his house 30 minutes after it happened, and ended up meeting the cops there and seeing it all directly after.

They've still asked him to continue teaching lectures and managing the class. There's only two classes left, so it's not a big amount of work, but it seems...wrong. They were good friends, apparently.

I really liked the way he taught. He always seemed very upbeat in person, and of the multiple times I'd talked to him, he was always very sweet and willing to help on a personal level.

This is one of the few, odd little things I'm just not sure how exactly to respond to. :|

WoW Nooz

New Patch tomorrow, or so they say. I am still getting my rogue Zanajin up to 70 so he can buy that fast-flying skill to go with that fast flappy mount that just sits in his bag. This troll is more fun to play than my hunter Toothache because well, he can stealth. Being invisible and sneaking around saves a LOT of time and is why I love playing a Rogue.

But alas, I have not drawn any fanart in HOW LONG? And you guys just LOVE trolls, right? Lately it's been all centaurs and bunnies so there better not be ANY complaints when I start posting Warcraft art again...does Kyoht get this grief from her furry fans too? :D I am kidding of course--since she posts werewolves now no one can say Boo. Hey, that gives me an idea...Troll and werewolf!

Here is your chance to talk all the smack about how Programming sucked this year ;)

In all seriousness, if you have the time please give us your feedback. Any assistance towards making MFF better in future years is appreciated.

On behalf of CenturyLink’s Board of Directors and management, I am pleased to present a special bonus of $350 (less applicable withholdings) to each full-time actively working legacy CenturyTel employee (...)

Well, that always helps.

Old Tranny Yote is Old

So the guy snoring uncontrollably beside me is turning another year older today. Considering he's fresh out of surgery, this model is obviously falling apart. So I better start looking for a fresher, less smelly and less looking like Lace and/or Scribble boyfriend.

Love you [info]darkwolph . Have a great birthday :)

Thank you!

I thank you all from the deepest of my heart for all your condolences and thoughts. I am overwhelmed with the caring support you all gave me. I am at work now, I currently don't have the strength yet to answer without crying, so I will do tonight when I am back home. I will also still post what happened last night.

I am blessed with the most wonderful friends one can have... thank you forever!

Complete Flickr Set!

While organizing and re-sizing about twelve-hundred photos, I came across these in a set of photos from a BCR Funday (Halloween 2006).

I noticed a familiar face amongst the zillions of black and white dogs: Apache! This is about five months before I adopted her! She's only about 2 months old!

The other puppy is her brother and I -think- the red split-face is her mother!

R0ndo had thoughts only of delicious snax that day...little did he realize that in just a few months he'd be big brother to the Wild Thing!

i've been reading TWILIGHT before bed, just for fun. i couldn't get thru more than 15 minutes of the first movie so i thought i would give reading the books a shot. um ... well, i'll write about that once i've finished the first book, i guess. it's pretty much what i expected, and i've laughed/wanted to throw the book out the window more than once. it's still a fun read though, i just imagine i am reading it on deviantart. lol.
