Art and Life Update pt. 1

The last few months have been packed full of busy for me - I did back-to-back shows in Oklahoma and Missouri - the Golden Retriever Nationals and then the Akita nationals. I came home and barely had time to breathe before MFF in Chicago - I was graciously invited back as a Guest of Honor again this year (since they were doing a special 10 year anniversary show and invited back the guests from previous years). The convention greatly exceeded my expectations - and though I had considered having to drop the show from my schedule, I will definitely be going next year and am pondering (planning) for AC this summer. :) Thank you so much to everyone who made the con such an awesome event! I'll post more about that when I put up some art I did for the event.

Commissioned nouveau-style rat and ferret tattoo designs.

Phoenix tribal tattoo.

Cougar tracks drum - this one went down to south america! :)

A few new glass pendants.

A few more - dog portraits - available for sale at : http://foxloft.com/store/originals

I'm also still taking custom glass pendant commissions - still time for holday delivery! http://foxloft.com/store/custom-artwork

Custom abstract design pendant.

Arctic fox and Snow Leopard armband tattoo designs.

Thanksgiving was again epic, hosted at the Sofawolf world headquarters and including both the midwest and west coast contingents of the company. They proved again that foxes make excellent cooks! They printed up some fun husky-winter theme greeting cards with my art - I will link to those when they have them up for sale online soon!

Vegas (african grey parrot) is settling in well (she's a hoot to live with, her extensive vocabulary is quite amusing and she provides quite an entertaining soundtrack to our daily lives here) - she's bonding really well with Mbala which is great! Most of the critters bond more closely with me, since I work from home and am here with them all day - so it's nice for him to have a bird that likes him better. :) Kimahri (shiba inu) was showing his age - he had a cracked molar in the back our vet has been keeping an eye on for a few years and decided it was time for an extraction. He's getting so old now, his muzzle (which used to be solid black) is now almost completely white. He was a trooper through the surgery and doesn't seem bothered by it at all now, thanks to great care and a few recovery days from the clinic. His teeth are amazingly shiny white again now, too!

I will admit I've gotten into the habit of using Facebook to post little day-to-day quips, so if you use that service and want to keep up with my daily musings, I'm there at: http://www.facebook.com/foxfeather

I'll post later with my new dog art designs and a bunch of new t-shirt designs as well. :)

Holy cow! You have been busy!

...You didn't happen to see the email that I sent you on November 17th, did you? With as many things as you have going on, I can understand if you didn't!

One of the big things on my to-do list this weekend is to get caught up on all my work email - so I'll be getting to yours ASAP! :) When I'm out of town that is the one thing that tends to get horribly backlogged. :>

Lovin' the ferret! Both are awesome! Teehee, I just had a visual of those two blown up, and as canvas art in some fancy gallery. They'd look so well!

I had no idea tattoos could look that pretty! The day I finally decide to get one (or two or three...), I'm going to have to consider commissioning you for a design. :) I already had an idea for something else, but since these two look that awesome, I might go for a nouveau style bunny after all... Good thing I'm not in a hurry!

It'll be interesting to see how I get along with birds. Orzel and I have plans of getting one (and eventually more, we hope) but I've never lived with a bird and he's the one who knows about them and feels comfortable around them. I only have experience of cats and bunnies, both of which are rather tame compared to the flying creatures. :)
